Girl Scouts – Indian Hills Council, Inc. wants to ensure every girl from Broome, Otsego, Delaware and Chenango Counties have the opportunity to be a Girl Scout. The funds generated through charitable gifts make it possible. These funds help the council to subsidize program events, maintain and up keep the Amahami Outdoor Center, provide adult enrichment trainings and offer the best quality programming to girls. Annual Giving - Annual Giving donations support programs and services to girls. Some of these services include 13 th Moon, a program for girls living in at-risk environments, camper scholarship dollars for Day and Resident Campers in need of financial assistance and the up keep of the Amahami Outdoor Center, a 450 acre camp that’s been an Indian Hills tradition for the past 75 years. Family Partnership - Girl Scouting helps your daughter, grand daughter, niece, etc…grow to be the finest woman she can be, developing new skills and serving the community year after year. This year help support your Girl Scout family member and her sister Girl Scouts with a donation to our Family Partnership Campaign. New this year…25% of your donation goes back directly to the troop the family member is in.

Alumni Giving/Alumnae Association - Take your place in Philanthropy by giving back and making a difference in a girl’s life like others have done for you during your experiences as a young Girl Scout. To join the Alumnae Association a donation of $100 or more is requested. Through the Association, you will receive special invites to Girl Scout events including our Annual Dinner. It takes a Girl Scout…to really understand the importance of Girl Scouting in a girl’s life!

Trefoil Tribute - Is there someone you would like to memorialize in a particularly meaningful way? This fund serves as a tribute in honor or memory of an individual. An acknowledgement card is sent to the individual or family. Your contribution helps fund services we provide to our volunteers.

Sponsorships- Local businesses or community organizations can sponsor a specific troop in our council. Please see the Sponsorship Form below. Help a troop by donating a space for them to meet or supplying them with the materials they need to perform a community service.

Women of Distinction Dinners - Girl Scouts-Indian Hills Council, Inc. has two special events a year. The Women of Distinction Dinner in Broome County and The Women of Distinction Dinner in Otsego County. These events honor women in the local community that exemplifies the Girl Scout mission of helping girls be tomorrow’s leaders and raises much needed funds for the council. The Broome dinner takes place in March and the Otsego Dinner takes place in September. Please e-mail abudosh@gsihc.org if you would like to be added to either mailing list.

Charitable lead trust- Fund a trust that provides payment to Girl Scouts for a term of years, then pays the remainder to family members.

Bequest- through your will or living trust, give Girl Scouts money, property or a share of estate residue either after your death or that of a surviving family member .

Testamentary trust- Create a trust that will pay income to a relative for life and then part or all of the remainder to Girl Scouts.

Life insurance- Name Girl Scouts the primary or contingent beneficiary, or transfer a policy you no longer need to us now.

Retirement plan assets- Name Girl Scouts as primary or contingent beneficiary of part or all of your retirement plan or IRA .
